The Card Project- 2013 - present

In the spring of 2013 I had a garage sale !! With the 350 dollars I made I had an idea- I contacted Ayuda y Solidaridad de las Ninas de la Calle, an all girls orphanage in Mexico city and proposed and idea of having a card painting workshop- with the intention of bringing the cards and paintings back to Toronto, Canada and having an Exhibition to raise money for the girls. The exhibit raised $1300.00 for the orphange and since then another $1,000 dollars has been sent back. Now that Nassau Variety is online I am continuing to sell the cards with all proceeds send back to the orphanage and NEWS is that I am now working on an “online” workshop and sending back some supplies for this workshop- stay tuned !!!
